A few words
About the founder
Born and raised in Central Maine, Matt Fitch, Founder of U-Chute is a family man at heart and has always been passionate about the outdoors, family and selling anything.
Employed by the local newspaper and slinging papers door to door at the ripe age of 9 years old, Fitch started his entrepreneurial journey at a very young age.
After moving to Austin, Texas in 1999, Matt found his wife Aarica, started a family and eventually started iHaulAustin a local junk removal business.
Matt was able to scale a local hauling business nationally to what is now iHaulJunk, Inc. and is what led him to discovering the U-Chute.
“One day I was downtown Austin observing the high-rise construction and I saw the enormous trash chutes they were using. I thought, there needs to be a way we can use these on a smaller scale.”
